Welcome to the Internets

November 9, 2007

Hi.

During one of the 2004 Presidential debates, President Bush made his iconic reference to “rumors on the Internets”.

Plural? Where are the other Internets I don’t have access to? Do they also have pop-up windows and flash ads you have to click through before you read a news story? Do I lack access to these secret Internets because I only have basic cable?

Regardless, it will forever be “The Internets” for me.

I have no idea why I think I need a blog. Must I succumb to the uniquely 21st century notion that everyone must be interested in what I think, what music I like, what theology I subscribe to, and what sort of tree I would be?

Apparently so.
